In a world filled with worry and confusion, our children need to know there is a God who lovingly cares for them.

At Emerald Crossing VBS, kids will journey through Ireland’s rolling green hills and misty valleys as they explore the powerful words of Psalm 23. Along the way, they’ll discover the life of the shepherd-king David and learn how to cross from worry to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word — all through a relationship with the Good Shepherd.

So polish your brogues, grab your passport, and get ready for an unforgettable Irish adventure!

June 1-5 from 9 am-12:30 pm

Here are the jobs we need:

1. Decorating Team (10+ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Help transform our church into the rolling green hills of Ireland! From stone bridges to sheep pastures, you’ll bring Emerald Crossing to life. This team will work the week before VBS to design, build, and set up decorations throughout the church.
   
2. Set Designers (10 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Love building and creating? Help design and construct our stage set for the musical showcase! You’ll work the week before Musical Showcase to create and install the set so it’s ready for opening day.
   
3. Shepherds (12 ELEMENTARY; 10 PRESCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Be a steady, smiling guide for our little flock! Shepherds lead children to each rotation, build relationships, and help create a safe and joyful environment throughout the week. This is a wonderful role for those who love encouraging kids and walking alongside them.
   
4. Art Teacher (2 ELEMENTARY; 2 PRESCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Lead children in creative art projects that reinforce the daily Bible truth. Help kids express what they’re learning through hands-on crafts and meaningful creations.
   
5. Bible Assistants (1 ELEMENTARY; 1 PRESCHOOL VOLUNTEER NEEDED): Support our lead Bible teachers during each day’s lesson. Help engage children, assist with activities, manage materials, and encourage discussion as kids explore Psalm 23 and the life of David.
   
6. Games Teacher (2 ELEMENTARY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Lead high-energy, joy-filled games that get kids moving and laughing! Help reinforce the day’s theme while making sure everyone stays safe and included.
   
7. Science Teacher (2 ELEMENTARY; 2 PRESCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Guide children through hands-on science activities that connect with the daily lesson. Help spark curiosity and wonder as we explore God’s creation together.
   
8. Snack Teacher (2 ELEMENTARY; 2 PRESCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Prepare and serve simple, themed snacks during rotations. Help create a welcoming, organized space where kids can refuel and connect.
   
9. Music Teacher(2 PRESCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Lead children in energetic worship songs and motions during rotations. Help them hide God’s Word in their hearts through music and joyful praise.
   
10. Scripture Shepherd (1 PRESCHOOL VOLUNTEER NEEDED): Help guide our flock to hide God’s Word in their hearts! The Scripture Shepherd leads children in learning and memorizing the weekly Bible verse, making it engaging, encouraging, and fun. You’ll listen to kids recite their verses, cheer them on in their efforts, and hand out prizes for memorization.
    
11. Lead Photographer (1 VOLUNTEER NEEDED): Capture the memories of Emerald Crossing! Photograph activities throughout the week and help document all the special moments.
    
12. Photographer Assistant (2 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Assist our Lead Photographer with taking photos during rotations and events. Help ensure we capture all the smiles, crafts, games, and fun.
    
13. Volunteer Care Coordinator (2 ELEMENTARY; 2 PRESCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Care for the volunteers who make VBS possible! Set up and maintain a snack room for volunteers and help procure thoughtful gifts to encourage and thank them.
    
14. Welcome Team (4 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Be the friendly first face families see! Welcome children, assist with check-in, ensure paperwork is complete, help count mission donations, and step in wherever needed.
    
15. Clean-up Crew (AS MANY VOLUNTEERS AS NEEDED): Help us tear down Emerald Crossing after our grand adventure concludes. Assist with cleanup on Friday, June 5 from 1–3 PM as we pack up decorations and reset the church.
    
16. Primary Pasture Partners (HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY): Serve alongside our team by helping with music camp and assisting wherever needed during VBS week. A great opportunity to lead and invest in younger kids!
    
17. Preschool Pasture Partners (MIDDLE SCHOOL): Help care for and assist with Preschool VBS. Support teachers, engage with little ones, and help create a joyful, safe environment for our youngest attendees.
