Howdy, partners! Welcome to Wonder Junction! There’s no greater joy than to praise the name of the Lord all day long. But how can yer kids do that if they don’t know who Jesus is or what he’s done for them?
Here at Wonder Junction, we marvel at Jesus and live for his glory.
We are currently accepting sign-ups for volunteers! Here are the descriptions of all the roles so that you can sign-up for the role that best fits what you want to do!
- Teacher- These are the different adults that teach, love, and disciple a specific group of students. You remain with your students as they move through rotations. You will also teach your students during Bible Time. (6/10 filled, 5s class filled, 3s class filled)
- Music Teacher- This teacher will lead music during rotations. This includes teaching different songs and dances that go with what the kids are learning. You will also help lead music during opening group time and closing group time. You will also have an assistant (filled).
- Art Teacher- This teacher will lead art during rotations. This includes guiding children through arts and crafts activities and connecting their art with what they are learning. You will also have an assistant (filled).
- Science Teacher- This teacher will lead science experiments during rotations. This will include connecting experiments back to what the kids are learning. You will also have an assistant. (filled)
- Snack Teacher- This teacher will create and serve snacks during rotations. This will include teaching kids how to pray and spending time talking with the kids about what they have learned during their time at VBS (filled).
- Music Teacher Assistant- This person will assist the music teacher. Look above for the music teacher description. This position can be an adult or youth (filled).
- Art Teacher Assistant-This person will assist the art teacher. Look above for the art teacher description. This position can be an adult or youth (filled).
- Science Teacher Assistant-This person will assist the science teacher. Look above for the science teacher description. This position can be an adult or youth. (filled)
- Snack Teacher Assistant-This person will assist the snack teacher. Look above for the snack teacher description. This position can be an adult or youth. (filled)
- Memory Verse Miner- This person will float through VBS asking kids to recite the memory verse during the week. The kids will recognize this person because they will wear a different silly hat each day. If a child recites the verse correctly, the Memory Verse Miner will hand out prizes. (filled)
- Photographer- This person will float through VBS taking photos each day. This person will need to know who is allowed to be photographed and who is not (you will be provided a list). They will take photos for social media purposes each day and for our picture frames.
- Decorating Crew- These people will help decorate for VBS and set-up the different rooms. These people would need to be available in the mornings the week of May 26-30. This can be youth and adults.
- Volunteer Care Coordinator- This person helps supply snacks for our workers during the week. This person will also be responsible for purchasing small gifts for our volunteers at the end of the week. This person can also build their own team if they choose to. All purchases will be reimbursed. (filled)
- Wranglers- These are all of our youth assistants (unless you signed up as a rotation assistant or decorating crew). These students will be assisting in classrooms (7 filled).
- Round-up Crew- These people will be our welcome team. They will run the registration/check-in table at the beginning and end of each day. They will also be responsible for assisting parents/kids if they come in late or need to check-out early.(filled)
- Clean-up Crew- These people will help tear down all decorations and reset classrooms after our VBS Celebration/Final Round-up on Sunday, June 8th. Tear down will probably be from 2-4 pm on June 8th.
